Seeking a Forensic Psychiatrist that will provide primary psychiatric and medical care to assigned patients of Logansport State Hospital. This position works under the leadership of the Medical Director and collaboratively with the Treatment Center Director and other professional disciplines.

- Skill in interpreting, policies, andprocedures.
- Skill in analyzing situations, evaluating information, and recommending course ofaction.
- Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with regional center employees and outside agencies.?
- Ability to evaluate issues, explain rules andregulations.
- Ability to write reports andcorrespondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and associates.
- Ability to define problems and collect data, establish facts and draw validconclusions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, andPowerPoint.
Education:
- Hold a degree of medicine or osteopathic medicine accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education and American Medical Association or American Osteopathic Association approved.
- Complete an approved post-graduate training program fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, American Osteopathic Association, or successor agency to an equivalent professionally recognized accrediting body.
- Hold a current valid license to practice medicine in the State of Indiana.
- Hold a current valid Indiana Controlled Substance Registration Certificate.
- Hold a current valid Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number.
- Board certified/eligible in Psychiatry
- Proof of three years of psychiatric residency training by recognized and approved training program
- Minimum of 2 years clinical working experience
