PMI is searching for self-motivated individuals with a great work ethic who can work well with little supervision and maintain a rigorous work schedule based on straightforward tasks and duties. Individuals must interact professionally with all customers, public utility employees, and other PMI employees and deliver high-quality service.

We will provide all training, including basic electrical training, and the operation of field equipment. Knowledge of basic electricity is helpful; using an Apple iPhone is a must. PMI will provide a work vehicle, fuel, and all tools needed to perform the assigned work. You are responsible for getting to the designated remote work locations to pick up your company vehicle and daily work assignments.

Responsibilities:

• Conscientious, thorough, precise, concerned with process and accuracy

• Remove the existing electric meter at the account premise and install a new smart meter.

• Collect and validate installation data using an app on a handheld device (iPhone).

• Complete all work to job specifications.

• Treat all customers and their property with courtesy and respect.

• Keep assigned vehicle clean and in good working order, and be responsible for the safety and security of all tools and equipment assigned to you.

• Obey all traffic laws.

Requirements:

• Possess a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.

• Must be willing and able to work outdoors - in all types of weather.

• Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record for the last five years.

• Must be dependable, detail-oriented, have good verbal skills, and a neat/clean appearance.

• Must have the ability to use assigned tools properly and work within safety guidelines.

• Must be comfortable interacting with customers and be quality oriented.

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Paid weekly, starting pay is hourly; after 2-3 weeks, you may be moved up to piece rate work (paid per meter installed). The position may require occasional Saturday work, typically only one Saturday a month.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift

• Electrical experience: 1 year (Preferred)
• Power tools: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
