We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in BIG FLATS NY. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of various HR processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Aligns with Senior Leadership Team to establish direction and policy for the entire operation, while acting as a Change Agent, requiring the ability to manage continuous improvement initiatives across all plant departments and levels.
Provides guidance and support to supervisors/ management in dealing consistently and constructively with HR issues (i.e. comp., disciplinary actions, development, staffing) to facilitate a positive company culture as needed or directed by VP HR.
Facilitates resolution of employee concerns and grievances with supervisors or company management as necessary or as directed.
Oversees hiring processes including the recruitment, screening, interviewing and selection of candidates while ensuring compliance
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum five years' experience in a Human Resources Management / Generalist capacity or related role in a manufacturing environment
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Bachelor's Degree required in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, business administration or related field required
HR Certification, preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment required, Food Manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to promote positive labor relations
Bi-lingual with Spanish speaking and writing skills strongly preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong Organizational, Written, Verbal and group or individual Presentation skills
Must be able to build relationships across the entire organization
Passionate about learning; possess the desire to continue to learn and grow professionally and personally.
Ability to create innovative solutions.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and respond to short project deadlines with accuracy
Must be able to work extended hours/days up to and including all 3 shifts when necessary
