JOB SUMMARY As Manager Field Inspection (MFI), you will lead a team of Field Inspectors (FI), by providing oversight and adherence to construction standards within budget parameters, quality and time metrics, as they pertain to scope building in support of internal and external customers. You are data-driven, process oriented and an objective problem solver. Reporting to the Director of Field Inspection, you and collaborate with peers of Scope Review, National Operations, National Construction, Change Order and Vendor Management. You will ensure scopes of work meet specifications and cost thresholds for assigned property tier levels and product lines. You will also partner with the standards and catalog management teams in providing user feedback and advisement. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Experienced leadership with emphasis in team building and cross functional collaboration Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and teach new systems and tools High accountability for scope to budget outcomes Routinely audit scopes of work compared to change orders to identify training opportunities Collaborate with internal and external functional leaders, partners and customers to ensure workflow coordination and escalations are successfully and timely managed Identify areas of improvement and use data to drive decision-making Foster a culture of collaboration, trust and respect Ability to effectively interpret business objectives & challenges and articulate solutions Identify areas of opportunity to improve accuracy and optimize the use of technology platforms to drive accuracy, efficiency and productivity Responsible for all aspects of personnel and fleet management, staffing, KPIs, recurring team/one-on-one meetings and related duties. Communicate and support change and report on identified concerns Ability to clarify and turn incomplete, conflicting or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging cross-functional stakeholders and business partners Ensure scopes of work follows company construction and quality standards Ensures workplace safety standards and practice adherence Oversee/identify training on process/procedures and implementation of corporate initiatives QUALIFICATIONS High school or college graduate with a valid driver’s license Five years of experience as an estimator, residential renovations project manager, senior superintendent 0or production home builder/superintendent Strong technical skill and application using InsideMaps, Salesforce, MS Excel, Word, Outlook; Cognito Forms and related software/hardware. Experience in managing remote staff at a national level Extensive knowledge of construction/renovations techniques/processes, plumbing, electrical, roofing, HVAC, flooring, appliances, landscaping and irrigation systems as they relate to residential homes Ability to work efficiently, manage time and work independently with minimal supervision Ability to work flexible hours, which may include weekends and occasional overnight travel Thorough understanding of standards for light and heavy construction What you can expect from us: Progress Residential® offers all the financial and non-financial incentives you would expect from an innovative real estate investment and management firm: In addition to outstanding training, we host quarterly summits and town hall meetings to encourage growth, knowledge sharing and a good time.
