Description - External As a claims adjuster on the National Catastrophe Response Team you’ll investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of Progressive’s liability and attempt to affect settlement with claimants. Acting predominately in a file ownership role, you’ll assess losses resulting from weather events (e.g., hail, hurricane, tornado, etc.). This is a remote position where you’ll be able to work out of the comfort of your own home. Duties & Responsibilities - Evaluates, makes decisions, and effects settlement related to total losses - Negotiates with repair service providers, customers, and salvage vendors - Communicates proactively and maintains a requisite service level with customers - Provides clear explanation for customers regarding claims catastrophe process - Able to work variable and flexible hours, such as nights, weekends, and holidays in response to business needs Must-have qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or higher or a combined total of five years of work experience (e.g., handling catastrophe claims and college education - Two years of claims handling experience - Licensing compliance in all required states Schedule: Shifts will include working either Saturday or Sunday MT Zone hours (10 to 7 ET) when not working CAT hours, 9am to 8pm ET during CAT hours Compensation - $43,000 - $53,000/year - Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings based on company performance Benefits - 401(k) with dollar-for-dollar company match up to 6% - Medical, dental & vision, including free preventative care - Wellness & mental health programs - Health care flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, & life insurance - Paid time off - Paid & unpaid sick leave where applicable, as well as short & long-term disability - Parental & family leave; military leave & pay - Diverse, inclusive & welcoming culture with Employee Resource Groups - Career development & tuition assistance Equal Opportunity Employer
