Physician Assistant, PA – ProgressiveHealth HealthSpot, LLC – South Charleston, WV
We are looking for a PRN Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team to support our clinic in South Charleston, WV with an onsite health and wellness clinic for employees and their families. Come be a part of a growing organization in a progressive, supportive, and innovative team!
What will you be doing in this role?

Provide a wide range of primary care services to patients, including well-child and well adult visits, chronic disease management, in-office procedures, proactive health maintenance, EKG and spirometry testing, medication dispensing, lab services, radiology services, immunizations, vision screenings, school and sports physicals, emotional/stress care, researched-based patient education, and telehealth visits.

Conduct biometric screenings and analyses, perform health risk assessments, and actively participate in health improvement initiatives, such as patient education programs, proactive health challenges, special health events, and the annual flu vaccine clinic.

Collaborate with the Medical Director for oversight, consultation, and guidance as needed, ensuring the highest quality of care and compliance with medical-legal requirements and internal policies.

Maintain the confidentiality of medical records, follow a comprehensive system of documentation and record-keeping, and accurately report services provided.

Coordinate and support various city wellness events in collaboration with the City of South Charleston, promoting community health and engagement.

Our ideal candidate will have:

Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Not currently have any professional disciplinary proceeding of any state or federal authorities or to any disciplinary action of any medical facility in any jurisdiction
-
Has never been excluded, suspended, or otherwise sanctioned by Medicare, Medicaid, or any other third-party payor, nor listed on any state or government list of excluded individuals, parties, or specially designated nationals list as debarred, excluded, or otherwise ineligible for participation in government healthcare programs.

The required state licensure, certification, and registration that is in good standing with the state or the ability to obtain the required state licensure

CPR/AED/BLS certification or the ability to obtain it prior to start of employment; maintain and provide proof of current certification(s)

A high degree of professionalism in both written and verbal communication

Be able to maintain confidentiality

Basic computer skills, including proficiency with databases and with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
