Tuxedo/Middleware Engineer
Client: US Department of Veteran's Affairs
Location: Remote Role
Any visa except H1
Responsibilities:
- Work with Software Developers, Business Analysts, Systems Engineers, DBAs and Quality Assurance to develop high quality software
- Work with other members in the team in order to determine needs for new software, platforms and applications
- Utilize tools, technology and various methodologies to create functional and intuitive solutions for user interfaces of desired products
- Develop and implement product specifications and Change Requests
- Pay attention to system integration, sustainability
and feasibility - Be responsible for all phases of technology development
- Adhere to all the requirements and guidelines for quality, security, extensibility etc.in Federal Government environment
Qualifications:
- Overall 10 years experience
- Must be able to identify strategies for addressing requirements
- Must have extensive experience with analysis of requirements against fiscal, schedule, and performance issues
- Has extensive experience in taking program requirements and is able to create an architecture vision having experience in high volume and high availability networks and systems
- Experience in creating and conveying to team members the architectural vision for a program or
- Has extensive software development experience and thorough knowledge of a variety of programming languages and logic
Manage, maintain, and update multiple Tuxedo domains (versions 11g and higher) that span multiple machines
- Upgrade Tuxedo from version 11.1.1.2.0 to 12.2.2.0.0
- Integrating Tuxedo with Oracle SuperCluster M8 RAC environments
- Provide support to developers for Tuxedo configurations and working sessions to analyze code
- Make Tuxedo configuration changes
- Boot/shut down Tuxedo instances
- Troubleshoot and debug Tuxedo code (versions 11g and higher)
- Should also have two (2) years documented experience that demonstrates the ability to:
- Support patching activities
- Patch Tuxedo binaries
- Upgrade Tuxedo client on Windows
- Maintain and update Tuxedo framework code
