Must-Have

• Has hands-on experience in build strategies, roadmaps and solution architecture in the last 3 years
• Has excellent understanding of key design principles for data architecture, design and development
• Has advanced knowledge in data governance, data management, database security, audit, and resource allocation policies and procedures
• Has excellent understanding of query/database optimization
• Designing, Developing, and maintaining BI Studio products like SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.
• Develop, optimize/improve, execute database queries
• Good understanding of SQL server execution plans
• Knowledge of SQL Queries, SQL Server Integration services (SSIS), and SQL server Analysis Services (SSAS – Multi Dimensional and Tabular model)

Good-to-Have

• Familiarity with Power BI Design, Scrum Knowledge

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

• Ability to design and develop business intelligence solutions which could help businesses retrieve, analyze, and transform data into useful business insights

• Has good understanding of database design, database modelling (logical, physical data models).
• Discussing about design requirements for upcoming sprints
• Collaborating with API Team – to figure out DDL changes required
• Guiding other database developers within the Team

• Creating SQL objects (Tables, Stored procedures, Functions, Triggers)
• Understanding existing database structures, physical data models.
• Ability to dissect through existing database objects and understanding the business logic
• Optimize poor performing queries, stored procedures, Functions
• Rewriting queries, understanding execution plans
• Had experience with different data sources – like Flat files, excel, Oracle, SQL server, API’s etc.
• Hands on experience with C# or VB – to write code in script task in ETL’s
• Scheduling and monitoring jobs, establishing logging mechanism for success, failure and in progress states.
• Participating in production issue calls, removing any blocking’s created by the queries and optimizing them
• Resolving dead lock issues.
• Understanding requirements of API layer participating in Agile ceremonies (Scrum call, Grooming calls, Demo’s, Planning and road map sessions) and leading the team
• Have good knowledge with generating reports – giving meaningful information.
• Experience with shell scripting (Power shell or Unix), batch files and calling them in ETL’s
• Committing code to TFS repository using GIT

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $82,236.92 - $120,131.58 per year
