Community Outreach Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Community Outreach Specialist to join our team at a company providing medically tailored meals. The Community Outreach Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing outreach strategies to expand our reach and increase awareness of our services in the community. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of community outreach, and a passion for improving health outcomes for individuals through medically tailored meals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement outreach strategies to increase awareness of our services and expand our reach in the community.

· Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, universities, and other stakeholders to increase referrals and promote our services.

· Identify and attend relevant community events, conferences, and meetings to represent our company and increase our visibility.

· Develop and distribute marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and social media content, to promote our services and increase engagement.

· Build and lead a team of canvassers to get out in the community to bring awareness to medically tailored groceries

· Manage and track outreach efforts and results, including outreach logs, referral tracking, and program evaluation.

· Collaborate with other team members, including the client services team and the culinary team, to ensure that our services meet the needs of our clients and align with our mission and values.

· Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date on best practices in community outreach and medically tailored meals.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in public health, marketing, community outreach or related field preferred.

- At least 2 years of experience in community outreach or a related field.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective outreach strategies and track outreach efforts and results.

- Knowledge of health disparities and social determinants of health, particularly as they relate to nutrition, health equity, and food insecurity.

- Passion for improving health outcomes for individuals through medically tailored meals.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.

(Preferred: bilingual in Spanish & English)

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
