POSITION SUMMARY:


Health Affairs is looking for a talented, full-time professional to fill its Sales Coordinator to join its growing Sales Team. The Sales Team is responsible for selling print and digital ad space in the Health Affairs journal, newsletters, podcasts, website and event sponsorships.


This is a new position that will help us in the continued expansion of advertising and sponsorship revenues. The Sales Coordinator will work closely with the Senior Account Executive and provide administrative support which includes coordinating with clients on fulfillment and creative deadlines, invoicing, inventory tracking, reporting and database management.


Health Affairs is a prominent health policy publisher producing a peer-reviewed journal, a timely digital publication known as Forefront, as well as newsletters, policy briefs, videos, podcasts and events. Health Affairs offers marketers a differentiated audience in a niche marketplace through its powerful brand, trusted non-partisan content, and C-suite audience.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


· Work closely with the Senior Account Executive and provide administrative sales support across the portfolio of clients

· Provide overall support in the fulfillment process for ad campaigns, including sending post campaign reports to clients

· Coordinate with internal departments and advertisers to help meet creative material formats and advertising/sponsorship deadlines

· Provide excellent customer service while communication with current advertisers and prospects

· Oversee the timely testing and monitoring of advertising campaigns and receive client approvals when appropriate

· Collaborate with the finance department on invoicing and inventory tracking to make sure sales goals are achieved

· Act as an extension of the advertising team by supporting overall campaign and project management

· Contribute efforts in identifying key target accounts for prospecting and lead generation, carry out desk research on leads as appropriate

· Analyze campaign success and provide recommendations

· Other duties as assigned


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in work experience
  • The ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • A proven interest in b2b media sales and business development
  • Ability to communicate effectively with high-level external partners and internal staff
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize appropriately, and maintain adherence to demanding deadlines
  • Able to work independently and within a team.
  • Detail oriented with an ability manage multiple projects at a time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 0-3 years of professional experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana
  • Working knowledge and/or experience using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools.
  • Knowledge of policy and health care issues
  • Experience in B2B sales and/or business development.
