The Director of School Success (DSS) leads all aspects of the engagement and service experience to promote retention and growth within existing PLTW districts. The DSS engages with assigned accounts to conduct compelling product pitches and to nurture and grow accounts while anticipating evolving needs over time. The DSS helps develop strategic and tactical plans, troubleshoots barriers, and closes deals to support pursuit of new to network growth and the North Star. The DSS manages a personal portfolio of accounts, maintaining responsibility for all aspects of targeted engagement. 


This position is responsible for managing accounts and identifying program growth opportunities within Northern and Central California.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement growth focused tactical action plans to meet and/or exceed assigned goals. 
  • Deliver seamless, high-quality service reflective of PLTW service standards.
  • Oversee all aspects of the engagement experience for existing PLTW district, including lead and opportunity pipeline management, closing deals and on-going relationship management within assigned portfolio.
  • Lead retention strategies within existing districts, with a clear customer centric approach.
  • Conduct account research and data analysis to develop an understanding of structure, priorities, key stakeholders, and other pertinent information needed to inform strategy and tactics.
  • Master PLTW product fundamentals and develop customized tactics and sales pitches for assigned existing districts. 
  • Engage and liaise with cross-functional team members throughout the engagement/sales cycle to analyze data, create customized pitches, troubleshoot barriers, and close deals.
  • Coordinate PLTW engagement experiences that support decision making needs of existing PLTW districts.
  • Promote eligible grant and funding opportunities for existing PLTW accounts within assigned account portfolio to meet and/or exceed goals.
  • Assist with the strategic planning and promotion of high-value, high opportunity PLTW-sponsored and non PLTW-sponsored events and attend to cultivate relationships and growth opportunities as assigned.
  • Effectively manage and track account information within PLTW’s Salesforce CRM system.
  • Identify and recommend potential opportunities for PLTW to incorporate innovative methods and emerging trends within profession and related field.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor's degree is required 
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing, and evolving work environment.
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed assigned goals in a high-performing work environment.
  • Expertise in customer relationship management (CRM) strategy. 
  • Excellent judgment and ability to adapt to changing priorities with ease and efficiency.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Relationship builder with the flexibility and finesse to "manage by influence" and to coordinate multiple internal and external partners.

  • Regularly uses computer and other electronic equipment.
  • Occasionally moves objects weighing 10 - 15 lbs.
  • Frequent to Regular travel is required.
  • Sits/Stands 100% of the workday.
  • Bends/stoops/kneels occasionally.
