The Emergency Management Senior Consultant - Project Manager is responsible for assisting the company and clients with special projects within their scope as a subject matter expert. An Emergency Management Senior Consultant provides advanced support, advice and analytical services to private businesses and government agencies on how to deal with emergency situations or any emergency management functions or disciplines. Each Consultant will have a specific work portfolio based on skills sets and needs. The position will be guided in all activities by ACDC’s Corporate Values Platform.

Compensation: $70k-$100k per year

Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

- Support and assist in leading all corporate and program operations on all division projects in addition to general emergency management services as needed.
- Provide support with all strategic and business plans to ensure they are followed in relation to project and division work.
- Manage critical portions of projects and ensure all aspects of a project are completed as outlined in the contract scope of work and timeline.
- Conduct meetings and briefings with clients, prepare and facilitate budgets, proposals, client presentations, develop materials and reporting as needed.
- When requested, assist Division Leadership with business development tasks such as responding to requests for proposals and building relationships with external partners based on subject-matter expertise.
- Develop state and local response and pre- and post-disaster recovery plans, procedures, checklists, and guidance documents.
- Maintain currency of and compliance with applicable state and federal policies, procedures, and guidance documents for applicable roles.
- Provide response and recovery related training to state and local government clients.
- Conduct needs assessment and gap analysis as it relates to response and recovery planning, the client’s emergency operations plan, and mitigation planning (where applicable).
- Identify potential impacts/implications of policy changes to Federal/State/local programs and provide briefings as required
- Perform quality control review procedures over work performed by other consultants and over client-provided documents as requested
- Serve in a response capacity in a state or local Emergency Operations Center (EOC) as needed.
- During a disaster, you may be called into the field to support or co-lead relief efforts or assist with organizing responses to support advanced roles in emergency situations and/or activations.
- Gain experience, train for, and become knowledgeable in all areas of Emergency Management.
- Maintain/pursue ongoing knowledge, certifications, and subject matter expertise as appropriate.
