SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Mobile Services Driver is responsible for the safe driving of all mobile units, cleaning, maintaining and reporting repair needs of the vehicle. Under the general direction of the Directors, drives mobile units, transports mobile equipment and supplies to partner sites. The driver will create and maintain ongoing contact with vendors for the maintenance of the vehicle. Assists with employees and guests of all ages.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
- General Supervision- The incumbent normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments.
Core Function: Safely drive and operate mobile human service vehicles
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drive mobile human services unit to and from events in accordance with DOT rules and regulations and standard operation procedures.
- Follow all PVH policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Follow preventative routine maintenance guidelines and ensure proper maintenance of all equipment. Work with vendors and members of staff, as appropriate to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical failures.
- Maintain a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile unit.
- Ensures vehicle and, where applicable, the generators are appropriately serviced and fueled for each event
Core Function: Assist community health workers, provide health and human services at events
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain awareness of potential risk to participants, staff, and facility during event.
- Manage daily set-up, breakdown, and activation of equipment to provide health and human services to guests.
- Daily clean and prepare unit and equipment between each guest’s use to ensure sanitary conditions
- Provide deep cleaning of mobile vehicle as necessary
- Assist with distribution of supplies and educational material to guests as appropriate.
- Maintain a safe environment at assigned site.
- Assist Mobile Services Manager as directed.
- Maintain inventory of supplies
Core Function: Responsible for Data
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follow all policies and procedures
- Ensure forms or release of liability waivers are completely filled out and collected from each guest.
- Ensure participants return surveys via digital or paper means
- Complete vehicle pre/post trip sheet
- Complete all reports as required
- Upload report into Drive Fleet folder
Core Function: Welcome and orient guests, if requested
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review community rules for participation with guest
- Give guests needed supplies for participation
Core Function: Orient new team members and volunteers as assigned
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Introduce new health worker to team
- Review policies and procedures with new team members
- Ensure new team members and volunteers follow protocols
Core Function: Complete Training as assigned
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain CPR, First Aid and AED currency requirements
- Complete annual training as assigned: HIPAA, Workplace Violence, and Harassment, etc.
- Complete training as suggested: Customer Service, Crisis Intervention, Brief Motivational Interviewing, etc.
Core Function: Other duties as assigned
- Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with Vehicle Safety Check and Registration
- Complete task assigned by Executive Director or Mobile Services Manager.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum requirement of high school diploma or GED and one years of experience working with underserved populations
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Computer skills necessary for data entry and reporting
- Ability to work in environments with diverse staff, guests, and volunteers
SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Licensed to drive in the state of Hawai`i
- Clean driving history
- Minimum 18 years of age or older
- Experience driving a truck and 30’ trailer in an urban environment; CDL B license for load weight greater than 26,001 lbs.
- Air brakes endorsement
- Pass DOT physical
- Must be able to work in an outdoor environment, including extreme heat and rain.
- Must be able to bend at knees and waist
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds over your head
- Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty pounds at least twenty feet
BACKGROUND CHECKS:
- The selected candidate may be required to pass a criminal history background check and/or fingerprinting.
DRUG TESTING:
- The selected candidate will be required to pass a drug test.
