Projects Incorporated was founded over 60 years ago to service the rapidly developing Aerospace Industry in New England. Today, we are a worldwide supplier of general and precision machined parts for aerospace, industrial and commercial applications. We are also a supplier of a wide range of Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) and repair parts for the Aerospace Industry. We currently have 66,000 square feet of manufacturing and office space located in Glastonbury, Connecticut.
Position Summary:
Run and maintain CNC lathe machine to produce various parts in a machine shop environment. Ensures consistent part quality and repeatability.
Core Responsibilities:
- set up and operate complex mill-turn jobs without supervision ensuring part conforms to specifications and requirements.
- make necessary modifications or adjustments to ensure parts are to spec.
- perform in a fast-paced environment meeting or exceeding production standards with a mindset for both quality and productivity.
- read and understand standard and geometric tolerances on blueprints and work instructions/operations sheets.
- accurately verify and document dimensions using standard measuring instruments, such as micrometers, depth gages, height gages, dial calipers, and optical comparators.
- hold tight tolerances associated with the machining of precision aerospace, and power generation parts.
- be able to troubleshoot and offer suggestions on how to resolve machining problems/issues and collaborate with engineering on changes needed to be made.
- maintain 5s practices on machines and in work area. comply with all company and safety rules and regulations. wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.
- in addition to mill-turn duties, cross training may be required to learn and perform other duties as necessary.

physical limitations: work may require bending, lifting up to fifty (50) pounds, pulling, pushing, sitting, reaching, and standing for up to eight (8) hours per day.
minimum education required: high school diploma, technical school degree, or equivalent.
experience: minimum 5 years of experience setting up cnc mill-turn machines

- time management and organizational skills
- ability to communicate and work with others
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
base pay: $20.00 to $25.00/hour
