This role is hiring for 2nd shift.
JOB SUMMARY
This positions operates and controls process of coil through process chamber. Sizes medium and large power windings for assembly to core and assist in training of new employees to area.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive assignments and instructions from supervisor—both verbal and written
- May assist with upending. Load and unload upender
- Installs end assemblies and align radical spacers
- Press windings as per specs.
- Prepare windings for process chamber.
- Process windings through process chamber.
- Size windings as per specs.
- Make minor winding repairs as directed.
- Perform other work as required.
- Keep tools, equipment and work area neat and orderly.
- Perform minor repairs and machine maintenance, preventative maintenance for critical process chamber controls and pumps.
- Inspect and transport completed coils for coil and core department.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Process chamber, hydraulic press. Upender, lifting fixture, overhead and jib cranes, forklift and various hand tool.
- Materials: Windings, pressboard parts, paper and cotton tape and others.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent

Key Working Relationships
- Plant Supervision, Quality, Planning, etc.
- Engineering Organization, including mechanical, electrical and manufacturing engineering groups
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to occasionally sit, walk, climb, balance, push, pull, carry, work below waist level and foot use.
Working Conditions
Shop-floor located on large manufacturing plant.
