What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler - Manufacturing position at ProLink Staffing?
MATERIAL HANDLER/MACHINE OPERATOR
First shift training for the first 6-12 months for Third shift position
Desired Skillsets:
- Mechanically inclined
- Basic welding knowledge a plus
- Understanding of blueprints/specifications
- Experience using measuring instruments/precise measurements
- Experience in a manufacturing setting
- Troubleshooting ability
Daily Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading parts on roll machines, requiring lifting
- Assisting in setting up tools, dies, and equipment used for production of material
- Reading blueprints and diagrams specified by work order
- Making minor adjustments, production line changeovers
- General work area housekeeping duties maintaining work space
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs; meet physical requirements of the position
- Willingness to submit to drug screen and background check
- Must be willing to work overtime when necessary
- Must be willing to complete required training, including but not limited to STEPS program training (JIT, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and Six Sigma), Basic Math, Blueprint Reading and all trainee-level roll operator courses.
- High School Diploma or GED
