Position Summary: Key responsibilities include: maintenance of the facility and equipment and the implementation of safety, security, and sanitation programs. The Warehouse Supervisor will assist in hiring and effectively train personnel.
Essential Duties:
- Must provide detailed and professional leadership for a minimum crew size of five (5) support staff.
- Adheres to and ensures Team compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintains a clean, organized and safe workspace.
- Working knowledge of inventory, supporting asset management system, SnapTracker and associated documentation.
- Oversees company facilities and related maintenance and the evaluation of related costs/budgets.
- Develops and maintains warehouse performance metrics and disseminates information to staff.
- Supports Dispatcher and develops basic dispatch skills for assistance as required.
- Identifies and manages outsource vendors for trash and recycle services.
- Reports and assists in correction of any observed quality and safety related issues.
- Creates curriculum and trains all warehouse support personnel as required.
- Conducts and attends operations team meetings as required.
- Ensures all product is handled in a safe and professional manner both inbound and outbound product, minimizing damage or potential damage by others.
- Inventory of delivered product: box counts and packing slip counts.
- Receipt Inspections: inspecting for freight damage; documents receipt and any damage on bills of lading, packing slips and follows company procedures for freight claims.
- Interfaces with the Ops Team to ensure correct product is pulled and loaded for delivery.
- Ensures product is protected and vehicles are properly loaded.
- Support Field Operations as required.
- Consistently completes administrative tasks correctly and on-time.
Education & Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have 3 or more years of equivalent warehouse supervisor experience.
- Knowledge and experience in the office furniture industry highly recommended.
- Prefer AA or higher degree, but NOT required.
