MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERN JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Calculate and layout dimensions, angles, curvature of detailed parts and components using standard drafting practices. • Create multiple view final detail drawings using computer-aided equipment. • Update detail drawings per assembly, engineering checking, or fabrication changes. • Review rough sketches and engineering specifications and modify engineering drawings as directed by designers. • Complete engineering changes, revising drawings and bill of materials. • Prepare customer proposal layouts for sales. • Respond to questions from manufacturing personnel, purchasing or fabrication, related to clarifications of drawings. • Assign part numbers to fabricated and commercial parts using departmental procedures. • Review project milestones weekly to ensure timely execution of milestones. • Completes other tasks requested by Manager.
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Pursuing a four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering • Familiar with AutoCAD and Inventor or similar platforms • Strong communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office • Preferably a Junior or Senior • Ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematics • Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions. • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
