Housekeeper/Dining Room Server

Summary: Specifically assigned to clean resident rooms, common areas, hallways, bathrooms, sitting rooms, foyers, floors and walls, offices, and any area that would be assigned by the Maintenance Director or other management staff. Also, can be assigned to laundry, dining rooms, other resident and/or staff areas, outdoor courtyards, garbage removal, Looking for a conscientious, self-motivated individual with a positive work ethic.

Reports To: Director of Maintenance and Food Service Director

Qualifications: Work as a team member with other employees to consistently maintain a pristine environment with a kind, caring and respectful attitude toward residents, residents’ families, guests and fellow staff while being sensitive to the special needs of the seniors. Encourage residents’ maximum independence, promote residents’ freedom of choice and individuality, and respect the privacy of all residents.

Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Enjoy working with seniors

May require lifting or bending. Must be able to lift 25-35 pounds

Duties: Duties are including but not excluding any direction that administration may feel is needed for the safety and comfort of the residents.

• General vacuuming
• Washing of Carpets
• Dusting
• Cleaning mirrors and windows
• Cleaning toilets, sinks, tubs, showers
• General cleaning and sanitizing
• Ensures daily cleaning assignments are completed by the end of shift
• Responds to housekeeping and/ or maintenance requests by families and staff
• Assists the Director of Maintenance with any issues/projects needing additional support
• When in the presence of residents/families, he/she will conduct themselves in a professional manner and treat the residents with dignity and respect
• Assist in cleaning the employee lounge, kitchen, dish washing area and food storage area to ensure compliance with regulations
• Assist serving Dinner to residents on assigned work days. Cross trained as a Dining Room Server
• Position is Full Time - Weekend day commitment required
