Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and talented UI Designer with some UX knowledge to join our team. As a mid-level UI Designer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that deliver a seamless user experience for our growing client base. You will work directly with our Director of UI/UX to translate business requirements and user needs into design concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs as well as be responsible for the visual design production of sites.
We are a team of well-rounded individuals focused on complex web design and digital experiences for medium to large organizations.
This is a fully remote position available in the USA or Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver exceptional user interfaces for our websites and products that align with the clients’ brand, meet user needs, and enhance the user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, solutions architects, and other designers to understand business requirements and user needs, and translate them into design concepts, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Create high-fidelity designs and work with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain and evolve design systems, style guides, and pattern libraries that align with brand guidelines and provide consistency and scalability across products and platforms.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and design tools to enhance design processes and improve design quality.
Requirements:
- A portfolio showcasing your strong visual design skills and your ability to design intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
- At least 2 years of experience in UI design, with the eagerness to learn and grow in both UI and UX
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma (strong knowledge of auto-layout is a plus), Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and interaction design.
- Knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and practices, including user research and testing, persona development, and journey mapping is a bonus.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of modern web technologies: Drupal, CSS, HTML, and responsive design
- Knowledge of WCAG web accessibility guidelines for web design is required
- Strong communication skills and ability to present design concepts and articulate design decisions to stakeholders.
