Motion Design Internship Overview
This internship is for a student who is studying animation, motion graphics, graphic design, visual effects, or a related creative field and has an interest in learning more about the advertising, media, and promotion agency industry. Their primary job responsibilities will be focused on work with pep and pep clients. A mentor will also be assigned.
We are looking for someone who is not only very creative, but also energetic, inquisitive, agile, and hungry to learn! Intern MUST be located in the Cincinnati area to report into our pep HQ office, and must submit a digital portfolio.
Primary Job Functions:
To perform this job successfully, intern candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Assists Art Director and Associate Art Director to design, revise, and release final video and animation files in a timely and accurate manner.
- Partners with the client team to help develop concepts, storyboards, and timelines.
- Creates unique design concepts for client-related work and internal pep projects; brings unique design perspective.
- Assists with development of print and digital work.
- May provide design support for pep internal marketing and sales materials.

- Ability to conceptualize and create design solutions that meet client objectives with thorough attention to detail using existing assets and/or from scratch.
- Ability to work independently with guidance.
- Must be creative, energetic, inquisitive, agile, with a passion for storytelling and visual communication.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop design concepts and incorporate client feedback.
- Ability to design within brand guidelines and standards while maintaining unique creative style.
- Strong time management skills to meet assigned deadlines.
- Flexibility to help the pep team with other tasks related to client business.
- Technical capacity and aptitude as it applies to motion graphics.
Required Education and Experience:
- Must provide digital portfolio.
- Proficient in multi-media software including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects and Premiere Pro).
- Cinema 4D or other 3D software is a plus.
- Self-starter with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Experience in creating reels, videos, and animations.
- Keeps up to date on the latest design and animation trends.
- Pursuing a degree in Animation, Motion Graphics, Graphic Design, Visual Effects, or a related field.
