We are looking for a SAP Master Data Manager interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our Business Systems team at PIM’s Headquarters in Park Ridge. This position supports the PIM Brands vision of success and continuous growth by implementing a new ERP system, reporting directly to the Director of Business Systems.
The SAP Master Data Manager will join us as we implement SAP S4/HANA. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders and external SAP consultants to facilitate a smooth transition to SAP and ensure ongoing operational success post-implementation. Working closely with business users and cross-functional teams, the Manager will focus on maintaining data integrity, consistency, and efficiency across SAP master data domains and various platforms. Key responsibilities include establishing and implementing robust master data frameworks, policies, and standards to support business processes, inform decision-making, and enable advanced Business Intelligence and Analytics. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of agility, industry expertise, and a passion for technology, leveraging their background in manufacturing and IT to drive effective data governance and technological innovation throughout the organization.
Job Description
- Manage companywide processes (review, approve, deploy) around master data requests for the following SAP S/4HANA Master Data domains: Material Master, Customer Master, Supplier Master, Product Structures, Finance Master Data and Quality Master Data
- Ensure integrity and consistency of enterprise master data, supporting secure solutions for sensitive data and enhancing confidence in system data across platforms and business units.
- Manage master data requirements for S4 and integrated systems (i.e. SAC, IBP, Telus), overseeing data modeling, validation, and hierarchy to optimize data integrity.
- Lead master data cleansing and migration activities from legacy systems to SAP, collaborating with subject matter experts to define and implement data strategies and controls.
- Serve as master data liaison, collaborating with business departments and building cross-departmental teams to ensure ongoing data accuracy and maintenance.
- Educate the organization on the importance of Master Data Management for SAP project success, providing training, insights, and support for SAP users while focusing on maintaining a high-performance culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related fields
- 5-7 years of SAP experience in CPG manufacturing or a related customer industry
- Recent ERP system implementation, preferably with SAP S/4HANA, and data mapping/transition from legacy systems
- Experience working in an inventory based business required; CPG industry experience preferred
- Advance level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel (incl. pivot, lookups)
- Proven analytical skills and strong quantitative skills, including a data-driven approach, to properly evaluate and interpret cross-functional data standardization requirements
- Prior experience or exposure to master data governance and administration, along with familiarity with company policies and industry standards
- Ability to interact effectively with both business and IT stakeholders to resolve master data-related issues; Including relationship building and presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and knowledge of database concepts, with additional experience in SQL and BI solutions considered advantageous
Preferred Skills
- Ability to write and execute database queries (SQL) will be considered a plus
- Willing to learn Business Systems related technologies
- Prior or recent experience in designing and deploying reports and/or BI solutions will be considered a plus
- Prior or active software development background will be considered a plus
