Promotional Designs Inc is searching for a full-time Purchasing Specialist that will assist in maintaining and tracking our clients’ purchase orders and merchandise. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, this position will maintain all tasks and use the applications to process client orders. This purchasing specialist must be able to follow instructions but also be a self-starter who can recognize, prioritize, and complete tasks. The ideal candidate will need to be able to retain various product and software knowledge and maintain a positive attitude to help foster an exceptional team environment.
- Conduct self-guided inquiry to become familiar with what products are available as well as their costs and benefits.
- Search available products to find the best combination of quality, price, and delivery.
- Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Manage deliveries to confirm compliance.
- Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.

- Monitor stock levels and verify purchase requisitions.
- Monitors and maintains current inventory levels.
- Identify damaged or defective goods and work out an alternative solution with the supplier.
- Keep detailed records and prepare and submit necessary reports.
- Maintain professional relationships with all key suppliers.
- Processes and monitors purchase orders.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
Education/Experience:
- Prior customer service experience highly preferred
- Data Entry or 1-3 years applicable work experience required
- Eighteen (18) years of age or older on or before hire date
- High School diploma or GED required
- Experience with HTML coding is preferred but not required
