Medical Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and supporting medical staff in a fast-paced medical setting. This is a part-time position with flexible schedule.

Duties:
- Perform vital signs measurements, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate
- Assist with patient intake, including obtaining medical history and chief complaints
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Administer basic life support when necessary
- Conduct basic laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Perform medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records
- Assist with minor procedures and wound care under the supervision of medical staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment

Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred but not mandatory
- Experience working in urgent care or hospital medicine is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient service
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.50 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
