Forecast Analyst

PRIMARY POSITION OBJECTIVE

Develop and execute an analysis plan that drives the business outlook to meet sales and service objectives while optimizing inventory levels. Analyze current trends, seasonal changes, and acting as a lead person on a cross-functional team.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use the current analysis module to create the best 12-month inventory and revenue demand forecast possible using established weekly and monthly processes.
• Participate in collaborative forecasting process with key customers.
• Facilitate business analysis of new products and services in partnership with sales team.
• Continuously improve business analysis techniques, method, and approach.
• Monitor sales outlook vs. prior year actual shipments to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Conduct current and future analysis, ensuring business processes and methods are followed.
• Make recommended adjustments to demand planning based on changes in demand and market trends.
• Prepare reporting to communicate analysis accuracy measurements to management.
• Monitor shipment and order volumes to make recommendations on product offerings and inventory demands.
• Under the direction of the management, proactively partner with functional experts in Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and IT
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, economics, or another related degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues
• Extensive Excel analysis and strong mathematical abilities
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Solid analytical, organizational, decision making, facilitation and presentation skills
• Ability to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of business affecting the forecast process
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive drive to improve processes and deliver value
• Ability to handle and appropriately prioritize multiple projects, with a drive to satisfy deadlines
