Job Description

The Criminal Division of the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney's Office is looking for highly motivated attorneys to join our office as Deputy Prosecuting Attorneys. As a Deputy Prosecutor you will handle the prosecution of misdemeanor and gross misdemeanor offenses at the District Court level. You will manage a high-volume caseload comprised of challenging, meaningful legal work with a change to grow professionally as part of an organization where equity, diversity and inclusion are valued and celebrated as part of our commitment to justice.

Company Description

The Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, downtown Tacoma, Washington, and employs 255 staff, which includes 140 deputy prosecutors.

The Criminal Division is comprised of units focused on General Crimes, Violent Crimes, High Priority Offenders, Sexual Assaults, Domestic Violence/Human Trafficking, Misdemeanors, Juveniles, and Appeals. It also houses the Investigative Services Unit and our Victim-Witness Assistance Services. The Criminal Division reviews over 14,000 criminal referrals every year.
The office’s Civil Division provides legal advice to county officials and represents the county in civil litigation matters.
The Family Support Division protects the best interests of children, establishes parentage, and works to enforce child support.
