About the Position:

• Ongoing maintenance and development of financial model, including forecasting and multi-year projections
  
• Perform scenario analysis to support in financial decision making, especially around growth and facilities
• Conduct research as needed to support business and growth planning 
• Oversee and hold contracted vendors accountable to administer government grants and entitlements (e.g. Erate, ESSA, ESSER, CSP)
• Lead cross-functional development and monitoring of spending plans associated with grants and entitlements
• Prepare quarterly Board/committee presentations and other stakeholder presentations as needed
• Track key performance metrics (KPIs) and monitor status of key initiatives across finance and capital projects
• Support the planning of quarterly leadership team KPI stepbacks and full team meetings
• Develop and maintain organization systems for key Finance & Growth team documents and resources
• Liaise with other Prospect Schools’ team members as needed to gather information, collaboratively problem solve
• Ad hoc finance & growth related special projects as needed

• A minimum of five years work experience in a related finance role, with progressive responsibilities;
  
• Working knowledge of public sector, education or non-profit funding policies and budgetary structures;
  
• Basic knowledge of A-133 audit requirements and GAAP;
  
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze complex financial reports;
  
• Expert working knowledge of Excel;
  
• A high level of attention to detail and follow-through;
  
• Strong organizational and communication skills;
  
• Ability to create and maintain systems that enhance organizational efficiency;
  
• Ability to work autonomously;
  
• Strong sense of professionalism and ethics;
  
• Bachelor’s degree is required, advanced degree is a plus
