Position Overview
The Senior Project Development Manager will be a member of the Project Development team at Prospect14. The Project Development team is charged with leading development of assets from hand-off from the Origination team to construction ready. The Senior Project Development Manager will report to the Vice President, Distributed Solar Development but will also work closely with all internal teams and regularly interact with the Prospect14 management team. This is a broad role in a collaborative team environment. It is a remote-based position which may require frequent (up to 30%) travel to project sites or stakeholder meetings. It is anticipated that two to four meetings will be held annually at the company headquarters near Philadelphia.
Core Responsibilities Include
- Spearhead greenfield development projects from Origination handoff Notice to Proceed by coordinating and managing various internal and external resources.
- Manage relationships with key business partners
- Manage all project data, schedules, budgets and documents
- Facilitate real estate negotiations / agreements and maintain landowner relationships.
- Collaborate with internal and external technical services such as legal, power marketing and government affairs.
- Facilitate the preparation of RFP responses working with internal and external resources.
- Represent Prospect14 with customers, landowners, state and local officials and other stakeholder engagement.
Primary Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or industry equivalent preferred
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of previous experience in energy project development required – preferably in solar, wind or BESS.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Outstanding interpersonal oral and written communication skills required.
- Ability to effectively manage community dynamics, negotiate with utilities, landowners, and other stakeholders.
- Strong MS Excel skills
