The Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Prosper, you will leverage your skillset to improve the software development lifecycle processes. You will participate in designing and implementing the next generation of platform in the cloud infrastructure, and monitoring/alerting platform. You will collaborate with a group of talented individuals to ensure the site reliability as well as providing a world-class experience for end users and developers.
- Ensure Prosper site reliability and availability
- Implement infrastructure as code for hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Write robust and easy to maintain continuous integration/delivery pipeline--build, configuration, and deployment
- Implement and maintain industry standard observability platform for monitoring and alerting
- Work closely with product engineering team to stay abreast of upcoming feature requirements and refinements
- Write effective incident reporting and postmortem
- Participate in the on-call rotation
- 8 years DevOps (or relevant) experience
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent work experience
- Previous working experience with cloud infrastructure, GCP is preferred
- Previous working experience with infrastructure as code tool, Terraform is preferred
- Previous working experience with continuous integration/delivery pipeline, GitHub Action is preferred
- Previous working experience with containerization orchestration technologies, i.e. Docker and Kubernetes
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems
- Previous working experience with one of the following scripting languages, i.e. Python, Ruby, or equivalent
- Knowledge in Agile methodology
- Experience with New Relic is preferred
