Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and oversee our financial operations and strategy. As the CFO, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the financial activities of our company, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, tax, compliance, and capital raising. You will also play a key role in preparing our company for an initial public offering (IPO) and ensuring a successful transition to a public company.
To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record of leading the finance function in a high-growth company, preferably with experience in taking a company public. You should also have strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of the financial markets and regulations. You should be able to align the financial strategy with the overall vision and goals of our company and create value for our shareholders, customers, and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the finance team and oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, tax, compliance, and internal controls
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and systems that ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC, and other regulatory requirements
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports to the board of directors, investors, auditors, and other stakeholders
- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and optimize performance
- Plan and execute the capital raising strategy, including debt financing, equity financing, and IPO preparation
- Manage the relationship with external parties such as banks, investors, auditors, lawyers, and regulators
- Establish and maintain a strong corporate governance framework and culture of ethics and integrity
- Monitor and evaluate the financial risks and opportunities of the company and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
- Support the CEO and other executives in developing and executing the long-term vision and strategy of the company
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 12 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in a high-growth company
- Experience in taking a company public via IPO or working in a public company environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX compliance, tax laws, and other relevant regulations
- Excellent financial modeling, analysis, and presentation skills
- Proficient in using accounting software, ERP systems, and other financial tools
- Ability to communicate effectively with various audiences, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to think strategically, creatively, and proactively
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing finance team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
