Responsibilities and Duties
- Assemble electro-mechanical devices. This includes soldering, manual electronic assembly, and hydraulics assembly.
- Set up and operate production and test equipment according to current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Responsible for testing products or subassemblies for functionality or quality.
- Review of product documentation and device history records for compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) requirements
- Utilize ERP system to perform material transactions
- Provide guidance and training to other manufacturing technicians
- Responsible for preparing and assembling materials.
- Troubleshoots problems with devices or products.
- Must be capable of using measuring equipment including but not limited to digital calipers, micrometers, snap/drop gauges
- Ensure that quality standards are met.
- Perform light equipment Preventive Maintenance
- Participate in root cause analysis for defective components and customer returns
- Perform duties for shipping and receiving the product as needed
- Fill out daily reports and production logs.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Technical Degree or formal training from an accredited school preferred
- Minimum high school education/GED required.
- Must be able to utilize a computer and be comfortable working with off-the-shelf and custom computer software
- Must be able to read and follow manufacturing work instructions and diagrams.
- Experience in mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies preferred
- Experience in hydraulic assemblies preferred
- Demonstrated use of hand tools (torque drivers, arbor press, screwdrivers, Allen wrenches)
- Must perform multiple tasks independently after being given specific instructions.
- Experience with electrical and mechanical measurement devices
- Good communication skills are a must. Needs to be able to communicate issues that they may see on the line or the product clearly to the supervisor and engineers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to guide others in an effective and professional manner
- Ability to problem solves independently and with others.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite applications, database information sources, and web application
- Willingness to learn new skills
- Flexibility to perform multiple job functions as needed
- Sufficient manual dexterity to use hand and powered tools
- Ability to stand, crouch, and sit for extended periods and to perform various types of manual labor
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
