Maintenance Technician - Project

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Tech II-Project will be actively involved in printer setup and breakdown, execute startup and shutdown procedures, perform daily maintenance tasks, implement preventative maintenance measures, and troubleshoot issues promptly. Additionally, the Maintenance Tech II - Project will manage inventories, store, inspect, measure, and distribute various process tooling, including dies, tips, breaker plates, and similar equipment. The individual will collaborate with other maintenance team members on various repair projects.

Essential Functions:

• Assist in the installation and removal of printers on production lines as needed.
• Execute proper startup and shutdown protocols for printers to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
• Conduct routine daily maintenance on printers to ensure optimal performance, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of key components.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all printers on-site to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Perform overhauls on printers when necessary.
• Develop and implement new preventative maintenance for printers if necessary.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with printers promptly to minimize production disruptions.
• Use precision measurements to inspect tooling such as: Dies, tips, breaker plates, etc.
• Recommend and perform fixes or replacements for worn, damaged, or defective tooling.
• Keep an accurate inventory of specialized tooling and coordinate necessary maintenance.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to resolve complex problems.
• Work closely with other maintenance team members to assist in repairs outside the scope of printer maintenance when required.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schedules, performed tasks, and any issues encountered.
• Manage and monitor the inventory of printer parts and consumables, ensuring an adequate supply for maintenance needs.
• Obey all safety rules, use caution in work activities, and continuously practice safe behaviors.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions/behaviors and work-related injuries to site supervision.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with focus on PM duties and scheduling in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrate hands-on experience working with mechanical equipment.
• Wire and Cable experience is a plus.
• Strong verbal, written, communication and interpersonal skills to exchange of information with co-workers, supervisors, suppliers, and/or vendors.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Ability to operate basic power tools, multi-meters, and pneumatic tools.
• Experience using Calipers, Micrometers, height gauges and other precision measurement tools.
• Basic computer knowledge, and ability to navigate a computer maintenance management system.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction, and as a team member.
• Analyzes maintenance problems and can solve them.
• Reading comprehension skills to understand written specifications, instructions and procedures in English.
• Mechanical aptitude necessary.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance practices.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching and climbing ladders during entire shift.
• Must be able to lift, carry, maneuver and move up to 50 lbs. of objects in the facility.
