Join our team as a Digital Product Manager!

This is a hybrid role with flexible onsite days in Maple Plain, MN. You must be located in MN.

This digital product manager position is responsible for identifying customer needs and driving the vision, execution, and business objectives of the Protolabs quoting and manufacturing analysis platform. This position tracks overall market and competitive dynamics, acts as intermediary between business requirements and software engineering, and advocates for the product internally to turn product vision into reality. This position focuses on the customer satisfaction and commercial success of our digital quoting platform across all our global manufacturing capabilities, providing our customers with the fastest and most comprehensive manufacturing service in the world.

You will:

  • Assist the Global Product Director of eCommerce in leading Protolabs' efforts to aggressively grow our customer base, increase engineer engagement and deliver an unprecedented customer experience.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report user behavior and performance metrics.
  • Communicate with customers to get feedback on our digital product and how they're using it. Use this information to anticipate what our customers will need.
  • Facilitate voice of customer and other research relative to customer use cases and personas - discovering unmet and unrealized needs.
  • Run A/B experiments to drive data-driven decisions about product direction and features to grow our business.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing, compile participant feedback, and report out to the software development teams.
  • Communicate the value of the offering in customer centric terms to cause customer to choose Protolabs offerings based on value delivered.
  • Communicate new capabilities, features, and user experiences to our marketing, sales, and customer service teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to optimize the end-to-end customer experience, processes, and business metrics.
  • Serve in the product owner role on small to medium-scale initiatives.
  • Support development of product roadmaps with strong market orientation across all segments.

What it takes:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience
  • 6 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to conduct complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment
  • Ability to simplify and solve very complex problems and jump between strategic and extremely detailed levels on a daily basis
  • Excellent communication skills with both business and technical team members
  • Customer delight minded and ability to focus on product initiatives that accelerate growth
  • Results-driven and ability to collaborate with customers, product management, marketing, sales, customer service, and engineering to identify and build new capabilities
  • Data-driven skills and ability to navigate data and analytics to gain insights and ideas
  • Curiosity that inspires experiments, tests, tweaks, and courage to try things that may fail quickly or unlock growth opportunities
  • Excellent organization skills with a keen eye for detail

Physical Demands:

While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use a computer keyboard, monitor and mouse, telephone and printer; reach with hands, and arms, talk, see and hear. Work Environment:

Indoors (A/C); nonsmoking; the majority of this job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. However, there may be job duties that require the employee to spend time in the manufacturing areas exposed to machinery and noise; eye protection occasionally required. Occasionally works in outside weather conditions. Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
