We are currently seeking compassionate and empathetic individuals to join our 988 LGBTQI crisis hotline, chat, and text lines team. In this remote position, you'll work from home while maintaining HIPAA compliance and focusing on the provision of 988-related services.

Our telephonic first responders support various organizations, including Community Mental Health Centers, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics, Managed Behavioral Healthcare Organizations, college and university counseling centers, and Employee Assistance Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage with LGBTQI individuals up to age 25 years experiencing emotional distress or mental health issues via phone, chat, or text

Build rapport and foster client engagement

Assess and mitigate risk, while maintaining thorough documentation during interactions

Provide necessary resources and information

Identify safe and positive coping strategies and assist in the development of safety plans

Conduct emergency interventions when required

Remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment that involves multitasking

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year accredited college or university

Minimum 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health/Social Services (internships and cumulative months totaling 12 months/1 year are accepted)

Minimum 1 year of experience working with At-Promise Youth

Residency in WA, OR, AZ, NM, MI, KS, IL, IN, GA, NC, MN, MD, or TN
