Position Overview & Responsibilities
The Manager, Commercial Finance will report directly to the Vice President of Commercial Finance and will be responsible for various functions in the Finance Department. Our work environment is fast paced, positive and stresses results oriented internal growth. The role will partner with various lines of business to provide strategic finance guidance and partnership. Drives business planning and forecasting to help ensure the lines of business achieve targeted financial results in line with corporate objectives.
The Financial Analyst’s core responsibilities will include the following:
- Analyze business and financial data while partnering with the line of business executive team or department head to develop financial objectives and business plans
- Maintain various schedules for customer and vendor pricing to aid operational decision making
- Help identify and implement tactics to achieve targets and/or address profitability shortcomings or gaps relative to plan
- Liaise, coordinate and report on the line of business commercial insurance program
- Develop and maintain strategic pricing data in conjunction with the Operations and Sales departments
- Coordinate cross-functionally to implement price increases
- Work with Accounting teams to synthesize financial data to highlight trends, potential variances/gaps to plan, resource implications
- Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations, and maintain solutions to business and financial problems
- Working across the Management team, to identify, share and pursue opportunities to improve forecasting strategic planning, P&L management, contract life-cycle management, risk management and ongoing financial management practices and process, etc.
- Provide control and oversight to the approval of key expenses
- Collaborate in the development and management of: Treasury & Cash Flow Management, Relationship with Banks/Lenders, Insurance & Enterprise Risk Management, and Retirement Plan Fiduciary
- Partner with line of business sales contacts on new customer negotiation, onboarding, and reporting
Education, Skills and Experience
- 3 to 8 years of relevant finance and/or accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Thorough understanding of project management
- Extensive knowledge of accruals, schedule creation and maintenance
- Experience in the Service Industry and/or SaaS industry (Guarding Industry a plus)
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience with business intelligence software (Workday Adaptive and Tableau a plus)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). Must have expertise using Pivot Tables, Conditional Sum, V-Lookup functions, etc.
- Solid communications skills (oral & written)
- Ability to tackle tasks independently
Travel
Travel will be intermittent, but expected to be less than 25%. A valid Driver’s License is required.

Compensation
Compensation includes base salary and a discretionary, performance based year-end bonus. The Company offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k), PTO, etc.
