Cath Lab Technician - OR - 10-Week Local Contract

Location: Pearland, TX

Contract Length: 10 weeks

Hours: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)

Pay Rate: $78-$80 per hour

Job Summary

The Cath Lab Technician will perform specialized radiologic procedures, assist physicians during invasive procedures, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current Cath Lab experience.
• Certifications:
• Current AHA - BLS & ACLS Certification
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT-R)
• Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General Certificate (Texas)
• Flu Vaccine: Up-to-date (administered after 9/1/2024)
• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  

Job Duties

• Prepare and position patients for procedures.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, X-ray, ultrasound).
• Assist during procedures (angioplasties, stent placements, etc.).
• Administer contrast dyes and medications.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes.
• Maintain sterile equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Document procedure details.
• Ensure compliance with safety and radiation regulations.
• Provide post-procedure care and instructions.
• Mentor and train less experienced technologists.
• Assist with inventory management.
