PROVAIL has an exciting opportunity for a Community Engagement Assistant to join our team! In this role you will assist and support clients develop skills that will increase their community integration by introducing and connecting a client to community supports, resources, and activities to help the client fully access their community for daily living needs or to reduce social isolation.
This is a full-time position that typically works Monday-Friday during normal business hours but may require some need for occasional nights/weekends-based business needs.

What you’ll do:
- Assist clients with development of their community engagement plan and submit quarterly progress reports.
- Provide community engagement support either to individuals or small groups- up to four clients- who have the same or similar interests.
- Ensure that all services provided must be consistent with the needs, goals, and interests outlined in the client’s service plan.
- Assist the client in finding leaders and members of community resources so that they can become active community members and build relationships based on common interests.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs related duties as assigned.
What you’ll bring:
- HCA certification in good standing OR CNA certification.
- Preferred experience working with individuals with disabilities in a community setting.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with coworkers, clients and their families, home staff, employers, funding sources, and the community.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Professional demeanor.
- Successful completion of a criminal history background check.
- Possession of a current and valid Washington driver's license with a good driving record, access to a vehicle, and maintenance of insurance acceptable to the agency's insurance carrier.
- Familiarity with the community in which the participant resides, including knowledge of community organizations, informal clubs, community projects, and businesses.
