Job Description:
Provide 1:1 care to a young male client living in an adult setting who experiences significant physical and developmental disabilities. He requires 24/7 skilled care in the form of administering tube feedings, administering medication, monitoring his physical safety, transferring him from bed to chair, and transferring him to the floor to work on his play skills and overall body strength. This young man will be aging out of school shortly and will need a LPN who is willing to accompany and lead community activities to promote his growth and development as an adult, and to help him have positive experiences of life enrichment.
Job Requirements:
- Must have LPN in current and good standing.
- Must have at least 2 years experience as an LPN.
- Must have 1 year experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disability.
- Must have driver license and be willing to drive. Able to perform all tasks and responsibilities of an LPN.
- Must be able to transfer. Must be able to use independent judgement as this will be the only LPN working at any given time.
- Must have excellent communication skills with families.
- Must be willing to accompany client into community settings like school, stores, library, etc.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $31.93 per hour
