POSITION PURPOSE
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for executing operational processes and procedures for an assigned Sports Bar. This individual will be a role model in the organization by exhibiting behaviors to achieve expected results in the right way, while consistently demonstrating company core values and serving as the liaison between support departments and the restaurant management teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively communicates business planning and strategies into execution and accountability of food, labor and controllable goals and priorities
Develops a high caliber team through effective recruiting, hiring and internal training and development
Works essential dayparts each week with restaurant teams to identify areas of opportunities and systems execution
Drives sales through restaurant support and by coaching teams to provide outstanding guest service, product quality, friendliness, cleanliness, order accuracy and speed of service
Connects with restaurants leadership as needed with frequency to discuss daily business status
Diligently follows and enforces food and general safety requirements and models behavior that protects them and others
Leads by example, maintaining an excellent working knowledge, business acumen and a high proficiency in all aspects of restaurant operations and reporting platforms
Maintains a culture of diversity and inclusion while personifying company core values
Ensures restaurant is 100% staffed at all levels with guest focused team members
Responsible for all zone rollouts/activations and introductions of new products, tools and services
Supports all restaurant training initiatives and ensures proper execution of training programs for future growth and succession planning
Ensures profitability of restaurants by reviewing weekly, period and quarterly financials. Monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to maintain controls and performance metrics
Confirms all marketing plans, commercial strategies, customer purchasing channels and POP displays are active and current
Approves all community connection and fundraising activities as proposed by assistant managers
Performs restaurant audits to ensure policies, procedures, brand standards and reputation are followed
Ensures proper care/maintenance of restaurant equipment and facilities while in partnership with approved service providers
Develops sales forecasts and weekly labor schedules for the restaurant, in line with labor standards
Resolves team members' and managers' complaints or concerns
Performs monthly inventory audits, ensuring that correct inventory levels are upheld
Conducts monthly business reviews around annual sales and budget forecasts, restaurant performance metrics and staffing levels
Reviews individual performance with each manager and Shift Manager bi-annually and recommend salary adjustments annually as necessary
Counsels, disciplines and terminates employees as needed. Supports Assistant Managers in the counseling, discipline and termination of team members and shift managers as needed
Ensures compliance with all local, state and federal laws
Stays current on all federal, state, local and company required training and certifications
Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
General knowledge of labor laws, health codes, safe food handling and sanitation, safety and security systems and procedures and computer operations
Excellent influential, collaborative and relationship building skills
Superior guest service and hospitality skills
Self-motivated and a passion for teaching others
Ability to read and comprehend written materials, and perform basic to intermediate mathematical computations
Successful management of multiple priorities with attention to detail and organization in a fast-paced work environment
Works autonomously and cross-functionally with integrity
Exemplary interpersonal skills Required
Minimum 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
5 years' experience with any combination of restaurant operations experience and education
Certified in any state, county or local food handling requirements Preferred
Coursework in restaurant management
Leadership experience within a corporate structure'
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
