What are the responsibilities and job description for the Blend Operator position at ProVia?
Primary Job Function:
Ensure proper blending and flow of raw materials from blending system to production lines to produce finished product.
Job Duties:
- Ensure silos and hoppers contain sufficient material to meet demands of production lines.
- Monitor the operational status of the blending system.
- Routinely inspect production lines for proper flow of material.
- Investigate and attempt to correct any alarm signals.
- Alert production of any possible problems.
- Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of the blending system.
- Inspect blending area for unsafe conditions and debris and comply with safety standards and practices and report any known violations.
- Perform procedure to transfer resin from rail cars to silos,
- Handle materials in accordance with material safety data sheets and EPA requirements.
- Perform procedure for sample reject.
- Operate a forklift when needed.
- Perform assigned duties with quality in mind, being alert to any nonconformity and taking action to identify, record, initiate, recommend, or provide solutions.
Qualifications:
- Computer Knowledge.
- Training on blending system.
- Knowledge of Materials and Usages
- Forklift certification.
- Lockout/Tagout Training.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
