What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infusion RN - Outpatient position at Providence Health & Services?
The outpatient infusion nurse has knowledge of Oncology, chemotherapy administration, side effects, infusion therapy, blood product administration, pain management, knowledge and skills with port-a-caths and all venous access devices. The infusion nurse applies the nursing process in direct patient care and coordinates the interdisciplinary team to intervene according to assessment findings.
Required Qualifications:
- Nursing degree/diploma.
- California Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification within first year of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Chemotherapy administration experience.
- 2 years Nursing.
- 2 years Oncology experience
