Description Associate Patient Advocate - Everett - On-Call/Per-Diem - Variable Shifts, may be called to report on nights(10pm-6am) or evenings(2pm-10pm) Provides general, medical and legal advocacy to victims of sexual assault and physical abuse. Primary responsibilities include providing support, crisis intervention, and information and referrals to individuals of all ages who have experienced assault/abuse and to friends and family members of the survivor. Advocacy is provided at emergency departments throughout Snohomish County, as well as over the phone through the 24/7 advocate support line. This position will involve working collaboratively with medical staff, typically in conjunction with a Forensic Nurse Examiner, to ensure client needs are met. Advocates will need to provide services appropriate to clients in various age groups with varying cultural backgrounds and abilities. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Diploma or GED Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
