Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Manager, Vendor Liasion to work remotely within our footprint states: AK, CA, MT, OR, TX and/or WA.
The Sr. Manager, Vendor Liasion has direct operational accountability for all aspects of Payer Yield Revenue Cycle vendor management including billing and collections management with direct operational accountability for placement, returns, and vendor requests for assistance, to deliver optimal outcomes, ensure quality, improve process, and drive down vendor expense. Scope includes management of Payer Yield vendor AR of approximately $850M and nearly 500,000 accounts for acute ministries across AK, CA, MT, NM, OR, TX and WA. Vendor category examples include denials, underpayments, zero balance and small balance AR. This role is responsible for serving as the primary point of relationship management for all Providence Revenue Cycle Payer Yield vendors across enterprise acute ministries. This position is responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to accomplish the goals with the vendor placed AR, in partnership with the Revenue Cycle leaders.
This Sr. Manager is accountable for the development, operations, and optimization of the Payer Yield Revenue Cycle vendor management processes, which includes working with key stakeholders across Providence, developing and executing vendor management strategic plans, improving workflows for placement, return and vendor assistance, ensuring an effective and streamlined operational experience for business groups. This leader is accountable to make timely knowledge-based decisions related to the vendors and operational practices, and development of successful vendor relationships with existing and new vendors. This leader will need to have strong communication skills and leadership experience managing teams and working with vendors. This Sr. Manager will have responsibility for participation in collaboration with RCS peers and managers to ensure Payer Yield Revenue Cycle activities with vendors are standardized across the health system, and that all policies, procedures, and strategies adhere to the guidance and vision of the Revenue Cycle centralized functions.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant area of expertise such as business, finance, health care administration, or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
- 6 years experience in a medical business office setting. Knowledge in reimbursement of healthcare accounts from insurance companies.
- 8 years experience in healthcare, revenue cycle, finance or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in relevant area of expertise such as business, finance, health care administration, or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
- 5 years vendor management related experience.
- 5 years prior leadership experience.
