What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sitter- Nursing Admin position at Providence Medical Center?
Providence Medical Center, a Healthgrades “America’s Top 250 hospital”, is a faith-based hospital providing an extensive array of diagnostic and treatment services including emergency services, general surgery, heart and vascular care, Spine Center, Joint Center, maternity and women’s services and an accredited Sleep Disorders Center. Also located on campus is Providence Place, a skilled and rehabilitative care center, Select Specialty Hospital and a Doctors Building. Providence is affiliated with Saint John Hospital, Leavenworth, Kan. and Prime Healthcare.
Under the supervision of an Registered Nurse, the patient sitter maintains constant visual observation of assigned patient. Assists in the provision of a safe and clean environment. Communicates observations of the patient’s activity and behavior on a regular basis to the assigned nurse. Communicates in a professional manner and demonstrates respect for patient, families/significant other and other health care members. Offers support to peers and staff.
