Performance Health Technology (PH TECH) is a leading provider of healthcare technology and administrative services in the state of Oregon. We offer a culture of respect, teamwork, integrity, and pride as well as excellent benefits and pay.
We are headquartered in Salem, Oregon however this position is 100% remote. We open to candidates in the footprint of Providence in the states of AK, WA, OR, CA, MT, and TX.
Primary Responsibilities
This role is responsible for back-end development expertise as a part of a self-organizing software development and delivery team. This includes working directly with customers, business stakeholders and developers to build highly functional and scalable backend and web applications. Success in this position requires experience in the areas of .NET, AWS, and TSQL.
Essential Functions
- Contributes to continual improvement processes as a member of a larger design and development team.
- Contributes to Infrastructure as Code in a fully managed cloud environment
- Contributes to Agile Development practices within the team
- Participates in code reviews, investigates the root causes of issues, and finds ways to resolve them.
- Monitors system availability and performance to meet business needs
Qualifications
Required: HS Diploma
Required: Bachelor’s Degree plus 2 years of demonstrated experience in Software Engineering or equivalent degree
Required: Equivalent of 4 years experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or equivalent degree
Must Have Job-specific skills & Technical Proficiencies:
- Writing / debugging / testing of object-oriented code using C#
- Writing backend code for front-end web applications
- Testing of .NET code using testing frameworks such as Nunit
- Reading / Writing / Tuning of TSQL scripts and stored procedures using SQL Server
- Experience with modern source control systems such as GitHub
- Understanding of at least one cloud provider such as AWS or Azure
Nice to have
- Experience with at least one modern web development front-end framework such as Vue, Angular, React
- Experience developing web applications
- Utilizing client and server side technologies such as Node
- HTML5, CSS and JQuery
- Configuration / troubleshooting of web servers and deployments
