Description

The Referral Authorizations Representative is responsible for obtaining insurance authorizations to ensure accuracy for billing and reduced denials. Works under minimal supervision within the general policies and standard practices of Providence Centralia Hospital. Coordinates all internal and external referral processes. Works closely with the team and referral providers, insurance companies, patient accounts, and support staff. Active participant in the clinic's utilization management, customer service, and information management activities. Active and skilled communicator.

Required Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or GED.

  • 2 years -Recent customer service in a medical setting.

  • 1 year -Experience with insurance/authorization.

Providence has been serving the Pacific Northwest since 1856 when Mother Joseph and four other Sisters of Providence arrived in Vancouver, Washington Territory.
