Description

Provides individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help overcome health care system barriers and facilitate timely access to care through all phases. Assess the financial needs of all new and established patients throughout their treatment.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration. Or equivalent education/experience.

• 2 years specific to patient registration, insurance verification and/or financial counseling/billing or collections.

• 6 months experience with insurance eligibility systems including Medicaid (Medi-Cal), Medicare and other commercial and private payer eligibility systems.

• 3 months Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

• 2 years demonstrates knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding.

• Successful completion of the Patient Access Training modules within ninety (90) days of obtaining position.
