Pediatric Speech Pathologist - St. Luke's
Part-Time, Day Shift position, Working 24 hours per week.
Under the general direction of the Rehabilitation Services Manager, the SLP (Speech Language Pathologist) Advanced Clinician diagnoses and treats communication and swallowing disorders in patients. The SLP Advanced Clinician will work collaboratively with a team that includes other clinicians across disciplines, rehab nurses, and physicians to create the best possible outcome for our patients.
All employees are expected to be pleasant, respectful and courteous in all interactions with patients, families, staff, and visitors of the Institute, as well as being a positive representative of the hospital at all times.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications for this position include:
- Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement
- Washington State licensed or eligible
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) certification for the Healthcare Provider or obtain within the first 30 days of employment
- Candidates for CCC may apply, and will function under the supervision of a certified SLP per ASHA guidelines for CFY
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) experience including experience with children aged birth to three years old
- Feeding experience
- NICU experience is a huge plus
