RN - Triage

Description

Provides nursing triage to general public via telephone. Assesses appropriate intervention using nursing process.

Required qualifications:

• Nursing degree/diploma upon hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within three (3) years of hire or equivalent education/experience:
• A RN with 20 years of RN experience will not be required to obtain a BSN.
• Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis at each facility by the most senior administrative nursing leader in consultation with the Human Resources leader.
• RNs employed prior to 2021 are encouraged to obtain a Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in Nursing, but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.
• Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• One (1) year recent clinical experience in any of the following suggested areas; home health, tele health, medical-surgical, critical care, emergency, pediatric or maternal-child health nursing.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing upon hire.
• Three (3) years recent clinical experience in any of the following suggested areas; home health, tele health, medical-surgical, critical care, emergency, pediatric or maternal-child health nursing.
