Complete initial and ongoing behavioral health and suicide prevention training to establish and maintain competencies in behavioral health presentation topics provided to the community.
Achieve target number of community outreach efforts each week
Provide target number of community presentations and related activities each quarter
Develop and steward relationships with community organizations, clergy, and congregations with the goal of increasing awareness of Provident Behavioral Health’s services and facilitating referrals and program growth.
Timely, accurate completion of data entry and documentation of community outreach efforts in Provident databases.
Author a Provident-approved monthly newsletter designed for community organizations, including religious institutions, on the topic of mental well-being.
Support Advancement Department efforts, including but not limited to marketing, special events, grants, and donor stewardship.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant knowledge and experience
Minimum Experience:
Demonstrated experience with public presentations
Passion for behavioral health and equitable access to care
Licenses/Certifications:
None required.
Certification as a trainer on mental health topics (ex. Mental Health First Aid (MHFA), Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST), preferred, but not required.
Preferred Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.

Work Conditions and Environment
Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds
Must have stamina to provide live, in-person presentations in small to large group settings for 60 minutes
Must have access to reliable personal transportation (mileage will be reimbursed)
This position will be hybrid, with an expectation of working out of one or more of Provident’s offices at least two days per week
Attend in-person trainings on-site at one or more Provident office locations, or community based throughout the St. Louis metro area, as needed
This position if frequently out in the community to meet with other groups of individuals. Must be able to navigate community-based settings independently
Work hours will generally fall between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, but some weekend and evening hours will be required

Demonstrate exemplary communication skills, including written, verbal, and public presenting with comfort in discussing mental illness and suicide
Possess strong organizational skills, including the ability to track activities, and provide appropriate and professional communication and follow-up
Possess the ability to work in a team setting, with community partners, and individually
Proficient in navigating computer systems (Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Outlook email, Word, and Excel, and other data entry databases)
Ability to maintain the strictest level of confidentiality

Ability to foster a positive and inclusive work culture
Ability to positively and accurately represent Provident in the community
